This would be a great opportunity for an experienced studio coordinator with professional product photography and image retouching experience, ready to progress in their career by taking ownership of our studio workflow.
Your Role
As our Studio Manager, you will play a critical role to the deliverance of a consistent volume of product photography for our website, and be given full reign of our studio and its operations. Your responsibilities will include:
? Liaising with other business leaders to ensure the smooth running of the studio and its operations
? Maximise cost-efficiency in the studio and studio workflow process; ensuring reduced turnaround times between product inbounding, photography, image retouching, uploading onto website, and outbounding
? Manage the quality control measures used for all photographic images produced by the studio
? Proactively engage the buying team and the operations team
? Reporting to the Head of Buying on studio performance
? Direct reports: Image Retouching Manager, as well as off-site retouching team
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have sounds business acumen, as well as a proven background in running an in-house studio or may be coming from a busy agency background.
Essential criteria:
? At least 2 years? experience in studio management, product photography and image retouching
? Innovative problem solver with the ability to run the studio like your own business
? Exceptional self-management skills; with the ability to follow through on projects from conception to execution
? Exceptional time management to ensure that deliverables are achieved in a timely manner, and organisational skills to be able to improve workflow according to expectations
? Excellent oral communication skills, as well as the ability to influence business leaders
? Demonstrated work experience in adapting to a continuously changing work environment
? Demonstrated track record in delivering results in a timely manner and with minimal supervision
? Knowledge of safe working practices
Desirable criteria:
? Tertiary education in Design or Fine Arts
